Out with the Old, In with the New, Pt. 1

Flatbush Avenue is Brooklyn's longest avenue, stretching from Brooklyn Heights all the way out to Rockaway Park. The section of Flatbush Avenue that runs adjacent to Park Slope and Prospect Heights is undergoing slow yet inexorable change. Gentrification, coupled with soaring real estate prices, is replacing long-time shops and services with new businesses that cater to the more recent residents.
